Welcome to our coverage of the 2013 BMW Championship golf tournament.  The BMW Championship is the second to the last FedExCup Playoff tournament with a field of the top 70 final qualifiers trying to get into the last regular season event at the Tour Championship in Atlanta to crowning the 2013 FedExCup champion. 

The 2013 tournament is being played for the first time in Lake Forest Ill.  

There have been some great champions in Western Open past - a storied list that includes Walter Hagen, Gene Sarazen, and Ben Hogan and more recently Tom Watson, Nick Price, and Tiger Woods amongst many notable others.

The field for this year's BMW Championship is 70 players 'winnowed down' from the 100 FedExCup qualifiers who participated in the Deutsche Bank Championship.
