our tournament's page for the 2011
Boeing Classic
golf tournament on the PGA
Champions Tour!
The greater Seattle area has hosted a senior tour event prior to the Boeing
Classic known primarily as the Northwest Classic which was played at Englewood
C.C. in Kenmore after first being played at Sahalee, (which will host the 2011
U.S. Senior Open), in 1986 where Bruce Crampton
was crowned champion.
The new sponsor was Boeing and the venue at the Jack Nicklaus designed TPC at Snoqualmie Ridge.
which is located 25 miles southwest of Seattle at
the foothills of the Cascade mountain range.
Past champions of Seattle senior circuit PGA Tour events include Walter Morgan, Simon Hobday,
Dave Stockton, Mike Joyce, Mike Hill, George Archer, Al Geiberger, and Chi Chi
Rodriguez.
Past champions of this event include Denis Watson, David Eger, and Tom Kite who
is defending here in 2009 after having won it last year and who also won the
event in 2006.
