Chateau
Elan is passionate about golf, so it's no wonder the 18 hole Chateau and
Woodlands courses are considered among the finest in Georgia. The
practice facility, with one of the highest ratings in the state, is home
to The Golf Academy at Chateau Elan. The Par 3 Executive walking
course adjacent to the Inn, is ideal for a fresh air break in your
conference schedule. Excellent course conditions and four-star
service brings numerous guests, corporate outings, tournaments, and awards
to Chateau Elan. Named a "Silver Medal Resort" by Golf
Digest, former host of the Sarazen World Open, and named in the Top
Four Courses in Georgia by the ESPN Zagat Survey.
The
Chateau course:
This beautiful championship course with contoured fairways, thick Bermuda
roughs and strategically placed lakes and ponds opened in July 1989.
Built on 170 acres of the finest terrain, the 7,030 yard layout of the
Chateau course, designed by Denis Griffiths, plays to a par 71. Winding along three lakes and two creeks, water comes into play on 10 of
the 18 holes with while 87 bunkers give definition and character to the
course.
The
Woodlands course:
The 6,852 yard, par 72, Woodlands course, also designed by Griffiths, is a
stunning layout with contoured fairways and demanding accuracy.
Numerous elevations present memorable views of the sparkling lakes and
tree-lined holes giving a feeling of serenity and solitude.
9 Hole Par 3 Executive Walking Course:
This nine hole layout located behind the Inn at Chateau Elan, features
beautifully landscaped holes, strategically placed bunkers and small bent
grass greens. Holes vary in length from under 100 yards to more than
200 yards, providing the perfect game for golfers who do not have the time
for a full 18, or for beginners and children.
CHATEAU GOLF VILLAS:
Two and three bedroom villas located on the 15th fairway of the Chateau
course. Two bedroom golf villas are available for up to four golfers
and three bedroom golf villas for up to six golfers.
THE GOLF ACADEMY:
Instruction from the Golf Academy is fun, affordable, and enjoyable.
From the Beginner to the Expert, the GOLF ACADEMY has programs to improve
your golf game including: Total Game, Full Swing, Short Game, and
Playing School. Individual instruction is always available from a
number of instructors. Creation of unique corporate outings and
clinics for groups, clubs, and junior programs are also available.
THE PRO SHOP AND GOLF GRILL:
The Pro Shop has everything a golfer needs in clothing and equipment at
competitive prices. The Golf Grill located just inside the Pro Shop
has a combination of great views of green and your favorite golfers' fare.
