Welcome to CaddyBytes.com’s tournament's page for the 2010 SBS, (formerly Mercedes-Benz), Championship golf tournament.  The PGA Tour season kicks off the 2010 FedEx Cup season with the SBS Championship, (formerly the Tournament of Champions), -a compilation of previous year's tournament winners on the PGA Tour.  

This is the 12th consecutive season that the Kapalua Resort's  Plantation course on the island of Maui plays host to the SBS Championship.  

The previous longest hosting was when the tournament and former Tournament of Champions was annually played at the La Costa Resort in Carlsbad California.

There have been some great champions in SBS, Mercedes, and Tournament of Champions past a long and storied list that includes Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Sam Snead, Lee Trevino, Gary Player, Gene Littler and many more.  The defending champion here in 2010 is Geoff Ogilvy.
