Todd Hamilton won the British Open at Troon on Sunday July 18th, 2004. His caddy was Ron 'Bambi' Levin (pictured left) 34 year old caddy of 17 plus seasons on the PGA Tour and professional golf. It was a great win for Todd and with 'Bambi' as the winning caddy. And as well a win for the rank and file caddies of the PGA Tour who ply their trade week to week to hope to achieve what Todd and Bambi accomplished by winning the 2004 British Open at Troon.

Here's the first installment of 'Bambi's British Open Blog':

July 15, 2005  -"After making a birdie on one, the day turned worse.  Todd shot 74 which made us three shots shy of making the cut.  Todd's undoing started on the 12th, a 350 yard par 4 where he hit an unbelievable drive that ended up in the middle of the green 20 feet from the hole.  The only problem was that there was a large mound in Todd's line.  Unfortunately, he left the putt 6 feet short and missed the next making a disappointing 4.  On the 13th Todd missed his line left and ended up in one of the coffin bunkers.  The locals are definitely right when they tell you that you are dead when your ball ends up in the coffin bunker.  We were lucky to be able to chip out as the ball was near the lip.  Four shots later the damage was done as we made double bogey...."
