Welcome
to our 2011 Senior PGA Championship
golf tournament
page. The Senior PGA Championship is recognized
as
a major championship by both the U.S. Champions and the European Seniors Tours
and since 2007 has been an official money event. From
1982 to 2000 the Senior PGA was played exclusively at the PGA National golf club
in North Palm Beach Florida with the event originally held at the Augusta
National Golf Club in 1937 and '38.
The 2011 Senior Professional Golfers Association tournament is the 71st edition
of the event and will be played at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, KY.
There have been some great champions in Senior PGA Championship history
including Fuzzy Zoeller, Tom Watson, Hale Irwin, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Chi
Chi Rodriguez, Peter Thompson, Arnold Palmer, Don January, Sam Snead, Gene
Sarazen, and Julius Boros to name a notable few.
Michael Allen won the 2009 Senior PGA at Canterbury and Tom Lehman will be defending his
title here in 2011 at Valhalla.
