The fourth annual UBS Cup, will be played the week of November 15th thru November 21st at the Kiawah Island Club's Cassique golf course on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.  In 2003 The United States successfully defended its title, -by tying and thereby retaining the Warburg Cup for another year.  The U.S. team did so against the Rest of the World team in the $3 million, match-play event that features two 12-man teams competing in a Ryder-Cup style format.

The UBS Cup is sanctioned by the European Seniors Tour and the PGA TOUR. Each team will consist of six players age 40-49 and six players 50 and over.  Arnold Palmer is the captain of the United States team.  He led the U.S.to victory in the first two UBS Cups, and he was the winning captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup team in 1963 and 1975.  Tony Jacklin was the Rest of the World captain for the first two UBS Cups.  In the 2004 UBS Cup Gary Player will captain the Rest of the World Team.

The United States rallied on the final day to win the inaugural UBS Cup, 12 -11 , in 2001 at Kiawah Island, S.C., and in 2003, the U.S. retained the cup with a 14 -9 victory at Sea Island.

In the 2003 UBS Cup, Scott Hoch, with his caddy Damon Green on the bag, won the 18th hole on Sunday to even the match and even the total UBS Warburg Cup points for the week.  That resulted in a tie between the two teams allowing Arnold Palmer's U.S. team to retain possession of the UBS Cup for another year!
The Cassique golf course was designed by Tom Watson on some classic Scottish like South Carolina low land country surrounded by marsh, river, and dunes.  This is the first time that the UBS Cup will be played at this golf course.  Last year it was played at the Sea Island Club at St. Simon's Island Georgia.
