Sunningdale also hosted in 1997 and will again host the 2004 Women's British Open. The old course at Sunningdale designed by Willie Park Jr. opened for play in 1901 and it is famous for it's 103 bunkers, and tight Pine, Oak, and Heather lined fairways.
