Baltusrol Golf Club's lower course will play to a par of 70 at 7392 yards. Baltusrol G.C. has hosted a national championship in every decade but one in the 20th century. The Lower Course was designed by A.W. Tilligast, modified by Robert T. Jones Sr. and son Reese Jones. Head golf professional and greenskeeper George Low, the immortal Bobby Jones, and Francis Ouimet all had a hand in design advice over time as well. The par 5 18th was made famous when Jack Nicklaus hit a towering 1 iron to the green in his 1967 U.S. Open victory over Arnold Palmer.. (image 1 through 24 of 24)
