Welcome to CaddyBytes.com’s Tournament's page for the 2008 Arnold Palmer Invitational - (formerly the Bay Hill Classic until this year's name change).  The Arnold Palmer Invitational golf tournament is played on Arnold Palmer's home golf club -the Bay Hill golf club's tournament golf course.  

Though it's gone through a name change, the 'new' Arnold Palmer Invitational retains it's old position as the third tournament in the month of March on the PGA Tour's annual 'Florida Swing' and 'new' FedExCup schedule of golf tournaments for the 2008 golf season. 

The qualifications for entry into the tournament are the top 70 on this year's money list through the Honda Classic, tournament winners of the last two years on the PGA Tour, and a list of foreign winners and exemptions which insures a quality field of top players in the world.  (And of course whomever else Mr. Palmer may choose to invite.)  

There have been some great champions in Bay Hill and Arnold Palmer Invitational past that have included the late Payne Stewart, Ben Crenshaw, Phil Mickelson, Ernie El's, Tiger Woods, (whose won it four times), with Vijay Singh defending here in 2008.
