Welcome
to our tournament's page for
the 2011 Deutsche Bank Championship (formerly the greater Boston region's Bank
of Boston classic that used to be played for so many years at Pleasant Valley CC
in Sutton Massachusetts).
The 2011 Deutsche Bank is the second stop in the playoffs to the FedExCup - an
elimination and wind down to the finals two weeks from now in Atlanta at The
Tour Championship for an annuity of Ten Million Dollars. The top 70
qualifiers from this 2011 Deutsche Bank Championship will advance to the BMW
Championship the following week in Chicago Ill.
The field for this year's Deutsche Bank Championship is 100 players 'winnowed
down' from the 120 FedExCup qualifiers who participated last week at The
Barclays.
Adam Scott won the inaugural Deutsche Bank Championship in 2003 and Vijay Singh
beat Tiger Woods 'down the stretch' in 2004 with Olin Browne winning it in '05',
Tiger winning in 2006 again, Phil Mickelson beating Tiger in 2007, and
Vijay Singh again in 2008, Steve Stricker in '09 with Charley Hoffman emerging last year and defending
here in 2011.
Who will win the Deutsche Bank and who will be among the 70 qualifying from this
tournament to participate in Round Three of the FedExCup playoffs in two weeks in
Chicago? -
