Welcome to our U.S. Senior Open golf tournament page.  The United States Senior Open has been around since 1980 around the same time that the PGA Tour's Senior Tour came to evolve.  It was a natural fit for the touring professionals and top amateurs alike to create such an event with 'Major' championship written all over it.

The U.S. Senior Open is now a major championship title on the Senior (now Champions) tour.  (Other Champions Tour majors are The Jen Weld Tradition, The Senior PGA Championship, and the Senior British Open.)

This year's 2011 Senior U.S. Open will be played at the
Inverness G.C. in Toledo, Ohio.

The winners of the US Senior Open since it began with Roberto DeVincenzo's win in the maiden event in 1980 are Arnold Palmer, Billy Casper, Miller Barber (3 times), Dale Douglass, Gary Player (twice), Orville Moody, Lee Trevino, Jack Nicklaus (twice), Larry Laoretti, Simon Hobday, Dave Stockton, Tom Weiskopf, Graham Marsh, Hale Irwin (twice), Dave Eichelberger, Bruce Fleisher, Don Pooley, Bruce Leitzke, Peter Jacobsen, Alan Doyle twice, Brad Bryant, Eduardo Romero, with Fred Funk in 2010.  Bernhard Langer won that one at Sahallee last year and will be defending this year at Inverness.
