2026 Biltmore Championship Asheville Final Round Recap & Highlights

Final Round — Sunday, September 20, 2026: Jacob Bridgeman fired a 10-under 61 to finish at 26 under and win the inaugural Biltmore Championship Asheville by two strokes at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove. Ben James also closed with a 61 to take second at 24 under, while Ricky Castillo and 54-hole leader Neal Shipley tied for third at 23 under.

CaddyBytes 🏆 Final Round recap: After a 90-minute fog delay, the final round began with Shipley holding a one-shot lead. Castillo erased it immediately, opening birdie-birdie before adding an eagle at the par-5 third to play his first three holes in four under. The fast start put pressure on the final group and opened the door for a wave of Sunday charges.

Bridgeman began the day five shots behind Shipley but steadily took control with sharp approach play and the putting that had been his biggest weapon all season. He kept converting chances through the closing stretch, signed for a 61 and set a 26-under total that nobody could reach. His two-shot victory made him the first champion in tournament history.

James produced a charge of his own, repeatedly giving himself birdie opportunities with precise iron shots and staying in the chase deep into the back nine. His 61 carried him to 24 under and solo second. Shipley could not repeat the control he showed through 54 holes, closing with a 69, while Castillo's 65 left both players tied for third at 23 under.

J.T. Poston supplied one of the day's biggest fireworks. Playing the course in reverse order after starting on No. 10, he reached 11 under for the round and finished with a career-low 60, posting 21 under as the clubhouse target. Jackson Koivun joined him in a tie for fifth after a 65, with Zecheng Dou, Johnny Keefer and Seamus Power sharing seventh at 20 under.
