Rory Sabbatini erased a four-shot final-round deficit with a tournament-closing 9-under 62 to win the 2026 Stifel Charity Classic at 14-under 199. Sabbatini played his final six holes in 6 under and finished one stroke ahead of Darren Clarke at Norwood Hills Country Club, earning his first PGA TOUR Champions victory.
CaddyBytes 🏆 Final Round Recap: Sabbatini began Sunday at 5 under, four strokes behind 36-hole co-leaders Henrik Stenson and Mario Tiziani. He then delivered the lowest round of the tournament, closing with an eagle and three consecutive birdies to turn a crowded title race into a dramatic one-stroke victory.
The decisive run began with a 25-foot eagle putt from the fringe at the par-5 15th. Sabbatini followed with birdies at 16 and 17 before rolling in a 40-foot uphill birdie putt at the 18th to complete his 62 and set the winning total at 14-under 199.
Darren Clarke mounted a strong Sunday charge of his own, shooting a 6-under 65 to finish alone in second at 13-under 200. Clarke had opened the tournament with a 64 and remained in the championship fight throughout the final round, but Sabbatini's closing burst left him one stroke short.
Steven Alker, Henrik Stenson and Mario Tiziani tied for third at 12-under 201. Alker closed with a 66, while overnight co-leaders Stenson and Tiziani each shot 68. Stenson played his final 12 holes in par and could not convert two birdie chances from inside five feet on the back nine as Sabbatini surged past the leaders.
Boo Weekley produced Sunday's second-lowest round, a 7-under 64, to climb into a tie for sixth with Shane Bertsch at 9 under. Søren Kjeldsen, Scott Parel, Tim Petrovic, Vaughn Taylor and Y.E. Yang shared eighth at 8 under to complete the tied Top 10 positions.

Winning move: Sabbatini played the final six holes in 6 under, using an eagle at the 15th and birdies at 16, 17 and 18 to leap from the chasing group to the top of the leaderboard. His closing 62 was two strokes better than the next-lowest final round among the Top 10 finishers.
Playoff picture: Sabbatini's victory moved him from 23rd to seventh in the Charles Schwab Cup standings as the top 54 advanced to the Simmons Bank Championship in Little Rock, Arkansas. Stenson moved from 56th to 41st and Petrovic climbed from 60th to 53rd to extend their playoff runs. J.J.
