CaddyBytes 🏆 2025 Corales Puntacana Championship Final Round Highlights: As the 2026 Corales Puntacana Championship gets ready to begin at Puntacana Resort & Club, this featured video looks back at one of the stranger and more dramatic finishes from the 2025 PGA Tour season. The final round in the Dominican Republic was played in difficult coastal wind, with the closing stretch along the water turning the tournament into a survival test. Garrick Higgo began the day a few shots back, but he stayed close while the wind made every approach, chip, and short putt uncomfortable. Joel Dahmen looked positioned to finish off a return victory at Corales, but the tournament shifted late as the final holes exposed every miss. Higgo made enough pars to post 14-under, then had to wait as Dahmen tried to close out the tournament behind him. The key stretch came at Corales’ famous closing run, where Dahmen’s lead disappeared with bogeys on the final three holes. The par-4 16th created the first major opening, the par-3 17th added more pressure, and the 18th became the decisive hole when Dahmen could not convert the putt he needed to force a playoff. What looked like Dahmen’s tournament became Higgo’s second PGA Tour victory in a bizarre, wind-blown finish. This recap sets the stage for the 2026 Corales Puntacana Championship, where coastal wind, paspalum turf, risk-reward par 5s, and the Devil’s Elbow finishing stretch should again decide who handles the Dominican Republic test best.
