The BMW Ladies Championship joined the LPGA Tour schedule in 2019 and has moved among several leading South Korean venues. Past champions include Ha Na Jang, Jin Young Ko, Lydia Ko, Minjee Lee, Hannah Green, and Sei Young Kim.
Pine Beach Golf Links became the championship's host in 2025. Its seaside-cliff setting, natural coastal terrain, and changing wind immediately created a different style of challenge from the inland courses used in earlier editions.
